The Almanack of Naval Ravikant
What started as a small curiosity soon developed into something much larger; soon I was gorging his audio book, eagerly listening to the nuggets of wisdom he had so graciously offered the world!
Naval Ravikant is best known as the founder of Angel List and having made a few angel investments and diversifying his wealth. However, I never had a real understanding of who he was until recently when I listened to two of his interviews with Joe Rogan and Tim Ferriss. Through those talks, Naval revealed himself to be an incredibly wise thinker, with an impressive perspective on life and success, sprinkled with a hilariously dry wit. He manages to convey complex concepts like self-mastery and abundance mindset in ways that are easier to swallow but still remain powerful and insightful. Who would have thought a venture capitalist could be so witty!
Who knew that a tweet storm could drive one down such an incredible path? A year into this hellish journey, I found myself performing extensive research in order to make sense of it all... only for Eric Jorgenson's name and a book based on his tweet storm to continually pop up. What started as a small curiosity soon developed into something much larger; soon I was gorging his audio book, eagerly listening to the nuggets of wisdom he had so graciously offered the world. What a find!
According to the book, we are all capable of so much more than we dare to believe. Naval expresses that with the advancement of technology and the internet, there is no reason why 7 billion of us can’t create businesses and pursue our dreams. We have a lot to gain from taking ownership by personal branding – it's a sure way to unlock unlimited possibilities. We just need to trust in ourselves and go for it!
Naval's thoughts on happiness and thinking have had a profound effect on my view of the world. Life is predetermined by our decisions to make things simple or complicated. With such a variety of knowledge that Naval passed on throughout this audiobook, I made sure to upgrade from the free version so that Audible could conveniently put it in with all my other worldly reads. That way, I can listen repeatedly and stop and rewind whenever necessary - something which would help me maximize the full potential of his teachings. This is why I highly recommend this book!

A big reason why I started this project is to increase my reach in helping people. Your support will go a long way! I was in Siargao, Philippines last December (2022) taking my vacation and encountered a group of musicians performing in all the restaurants and bars to get donations from tourists so they can buy Ukeleles for kids. I am aiming to donate at least 1,000 USD this year to them too. Thank you in advance!
