We live in a story driven world..
Everything that happens, everything that exists, can be seen as part of a narrative.
Everything that happens, everything that exists, can be seen as part of a narrative.
From the smallest event to the grandest sweep of history, everything can be viewed in terms of cause and effect, of action and reaction. Storytelling is how we make sense of the world, how we understand the past and foresee the future. It is the foundation upon which our civilization is built. Our brains are wired for stories. We see the world in terms of narrative because that is how we make meaning out of chaos. It is how we find order in a seemingly random universe. When we tell stories, we are imposing our will on the world, making it bend to our will. Storytelling is a power that shapes reality itself. Stories are the opiate of the masses, the mental shortcuts that allow us to make sense of a complex and ever-changing world. They are how we fool ourselves into thinking that we understand what is happening around us. But in truth, they are just another way of looking at reality, another way of imposing our own order on the chaos. And like all ways of looking at reality, they come with their own biases and blindness.
In a story driven world, we often find it more useful to see the world in stories.
In other words, we use stories as a lens through which to view the world around us. This is because stories provide a framework that helps us to understand and make sense of our experiences. They also help us to communicate our ideas and feelings to others. In addition, stories can be used as a tool for teaching and learning. By understanding the world in terms of stories, we can more effectively navigate our way through it.
Choose to write your story with love.
In a story driven world, it matters how we write our own stories. The next generation will be greatly affected by the way we choose to see and write our stories. If we view and write them with positivity, hope, and love, the next generation will carry these values into their lives and continue writing more beautiful stories. However, if we give into cynicism, disbelief, or anger, the next generation will learn to write stories from these negative perspectives and further add to the hurt in the world. Our actions always matter and they have a particularly significant impact when it comes to the stories we tell.

They are making the world a better place for us and many generations to come! A big reason why I started this project is to increase my reach in helping people. Your support will go a long way! I was in Siargao, Philippines last December (2022) and there was a group of musicians performing in all the bars in the town to get donations so they can buy Ukeleles for kids. I am aiming to donate at least 1,000 USD this year to them too.
